Receptionist Position – Lafayette Airport Commission (LAC)

Job Summary: 

This position is mainly responsible for being the first contact with callers and visitors for the Lafayette Airport Commission and its staff.  Candidate will also provide basic clerical and secretarial support services for office with no supervisory responsibilities. This is a 40 hour work week position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.  

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Have High School diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or higher encouraged
  • Be dependable & punctual, professional & courteous, able to multi-task, & have good communication skills
  • Prior administrative experience given preference
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check in order to be badged

Pay Range   $14.50 -$16.50 per hour DOE

 

Job Description: 

  • Manage the Administrative office’s front desk and multiline phone system
  • Assist Airport customers with flight and website information
  • Handle all mail and shipping duties of office & staff
  • Assist staff with miscellaneous office duties as needed – for ex binding, scanning, copying, etc.
  • Assist in ordering and stocking office supplies
  • Assists the LAC Commission Secretary with Commission Meeting preparations
  • Receive and maintain Maintenance Department’s work orders and database
  • Assist with any other Administrative duties as assigned
