Passenger Services & Accessibility
We welcome all persons with disabilities to Lafayette Regional Airport. We pride ourselves on airport accessibility and make accommodations for all passengers, whether you need wheelchair assistance at the airport or a pet relief area for your service animal.
Requesting Wheelchair Assistance
Persons with disabilities should first contact their airline in advance to arrange special services such as boarding assistance, wheelchair needs, seat assignments, medication storage, and food requirements.
TSA Cares
TSA Cares is a helpline that provides travelers with disabilities, medical conditions, and other exceptional circumstances with additional assistance during the security screening process. You may request assistance through the TSA screening checkpoint by clicking here.

ADA/504 Compliance
Lafayette Regional Airport, in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the administration of its programs and activities. We are committed to providing equal opportunities for the disabled traveling public, applicants, participants, employees, and other interested persons.
Anyone who believes they have been subjected to discrimination based on disability or have been denied access to services or accommodations required by law should contact the Airport ADA/504 Coordinator at (337) 703-4800 or send an email through the contact us feature.

Complainants have 7 days after an incident to file a complaint.
The ADA / Section 504 Coordinator will issue a written decision within 30 days of the compliant being filed.
Complainants may appeal decisions to the Executive Director within 15 days of receiving the written decision.
Special Assistance Parking
Mobility-impaired parking permit is available in signed areas of all parking lots. 30-minute free parking may be utilized for long-term parking provided your vehicle displays a mobility-impaired parking tag or license plate. All parking lots are van accessible.
Wheelchair Accessibility Through Your Airline
Wheelchair service is offered through your airline upon request. To ensure availability and timely service, it is recommended that this service be reserved in advance by directly contacting your airline. Wheelchair assistance may also be requested at airline ticket counters. Curbside service is only available through prior arrangements with your airline.

ADA/504 Compliance
It is the intent of the Lafayette Regional Airport to provide access to the airport and the services associated with its operation to persons with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Persons with disabilities or their representatives may request reasonable accommodations in alternative format, including documents, by contacting your respective airline for airline related needs, or Airport – ADA/504 Coordinator for airport facility related needs.
ADA/504 Coordinator
The ADA/504 Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the efforts of Lafayette Regional Airport comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and investigating any concerns or complaints regarding access to airport programs, services, or activities.

Relief for Service Animals
Animals are required to be on a leash at all times. We have created pet-friendly areas for traveling convenience. Only pets with an accompanied ticketed passenger may use these designated areas.
